How do I join Meanjin?

By joining our parent body, the Australian Literacy Educators' Association, ALEA, you become a member of Meanjin Local Council. Membership of ALEA (and Meanjin) provides you with many benefits.   On the ALEA website you can apply to join or renew your membership online. Individual, family, institutional and student memberships are available at a range of prices.

Please deal directly with ALEA for memberships. Please do not send membership forms or payments to Meanjin (as has been a practice in the past.)

Most Meanjin PD activities have significantly reduced fees for current members. If you are attending more than one session, or if a school is sending more than one person, it's cheaper overall to join ALEA and take advantage of the reduced fees. You then also enjoy the other benefits of membership.

What's my ALEA membership number?

On joining, ALEA provides you or your school with a laminated card that has your membership number and expiry date.

You can contact ALEA to find out your membership number and to see if your membership is current.

Ph: 1800 248 379 (Free call) or
Email:
alea@netspace.net.au

Please do NOT contact ALEA at the above number if you have questions about local Meanjin PD events. They are our parent body in South Australia and will not have any information.
